Monday #25: Winter Haiku

Here in the Mid Atlantic, winter put on quite a show this past week. We braved the weather Friday and inched our way up to Highmount, NY where we continued our attempt to become skiers at Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort. The air was fiercely cold Saturday morning, and the wind stung our faces, but the sky was as clear and blue as it could be. It was magical.

The trees sparkled in the sun, many of them resembling such beautiful sculptures, and I realized that it was time for a seasonal haiku here at 52 Mondays.

Winter, you astound

when you take our breath away

on air and beauty.

TRY THIS WEEK:¬†A winter haiku! Won’t you please leave it here for all of us to enjoy?
